Booyah handle Dock Spiders

The Green Bay Booyah were able to fend off late inning runs by the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders on Monday in their 4-2 win. Green Bay put up a run in the first, third and fourth innings. Fond du Lac got within a run, scoring one in the tops of inning six and eight. Green Bay scored one in the bottom of the eighth to go up two runs, and that would seal the scoring for Monday. In the game, Nadir Lewis and Elias Flowers each hit a solo home run. Green Bay also got two hits from Flowers, Brendan Ryan and Nathan Blasick.

The win gives the Dock Spiders their first loss in the second half of the season. The win also moves the Booyah record in the second half of the season to 5-2. The two teams meet again on Tuesday at Fond du Lac. First pitch will be thrown at 6:35 PM.

In other area action, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers will open a six-game road series with the Peoria Chiefs on Tuesday, beginning at 6:35 PM. All of Tuesday-Saturday's games with Peoria will have the same start time.
